Michael M. Fratus

Director of Operations

Michael Fratus is Director of Operations for Visconsi Companies, Ltd. He joined the company in 1988 as Operations Manager. Mr. Fratus' primary responsibility is the overall management of 2.8 million square feet of retail space in ten shopping centers in northeast Ohio and the Midwest. Under Mr. Fratus' direction, the operations staff manages the areas of lease administration, marketing, common area maintenance, capital improvements, security, building repair and maintenance, and insurance.

Mr. Fratus' career started with Fisher Foods, Inc., a regional supermarket chain which is now a division of the Giant Eagle Inc. grocery chain. Mr. Fratus spent the last four years of his eighteen years with the company at the corporate headquarters where he held the positions of Business Analyst/Research and Development, Office Services Manager, and Director of Store Support Services. Immediately prior to joining Visconsi Companies, Ltd., Mr. Fratus was General Manager of Severance Athletic Club in Cleveland Heights, Ohio from 1984 to 1988, and in such capacity managed all programs and membership issues.

Mr. Fratus is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a degree in Business Administration and Economics. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and represents Visconsi Companies and the shopping centers to the business community as a member of Chambers of Commerce in Middleburg Heights, Parma, Cuyahoga Falls, Akron, Mentor, and Tiffin, Ohio, and in Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Mr. Fratus is active in the Italian-American community of Historic Little Italy in Cleveland's University Circle area.  He is a lifetime member of Holy Rosary Church in Little Italy and serves on the church's capital improvement committee, which recently completed a major renovation of the century-old church building.  He is a senior member of the church's Coro Italiano choral group and the Holy Rosary Folk Ensemble and has performed at various colleges and churches including a singing tour of Italy with a performance for the Papal Audience at the Vatican in Rome.
