Gregory W. Barrow

Greg Barrow joined Visconsi Companies, Ltd. in December of 1999, bringing to the organization over 25 years of retail development, operating and construction experience. As Vice President of Construction Services, Mr. Barrow manages the Construction and Engineering staff, who are responsible for the daily oversight of all construction related activities for new Development, newly acquired and current shopping centers in the Visconsi Companies portfolio, the expanding Walgreen’s program as well as re-tenanting any of the growing list of Visconsi Companies, Ltd. properties.
Prior to joining Visconsi Companies, Ltd., Mr. Barrow spent four years employed with Developers Diversified Realty Corporation, a highly successful, national Real Estate Investment Trust. Serving as the Director of Construction/Planning, he was responsible for directing and administering site planning and new construction activities for all retail shopping centers in the company’s active portfolio.
Having completed his studies in Communication at Bowling Green State University in 1974, Mr. Barrow began his career in the retail food industry as a project coordinator for a Cleveland based supermarket chain. In 1977 he joined a competitive retailer which ultimately became part of Ahold, USA, one of the countries top five (5) supermarket retailers and a division of one of the largest food organizations in the world. In his role as Vice President of Construction, Maintenance, Engineering and Purchasing, he was responsible for the administration of all activities for construction, engineering and maintenance of the company’s regional facilities. As part of an international organization, he served on the Company’s Synergy Committee for physical plants and participated in the initial development of many of the programs currently used today. Mr. Barrow is a past member of the Food Market Institute and a current member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Mr. Barrow currently resides in Aurora with his wife and four children. Collectively, they enjoy various outdoor activities and actively support and enjoy their Irish heritage.
