STRONGSVILLE, OH, September 2008 - Visconsi Companies, Ltd. announced today the signing of Costco, Bed, Bath & Beyond and Best Buy to its latest development, The Plaza at SouthPark. This 30+ acre site is currently under development and is located at Interstate 71 and State Route 82. The project is a co-venture with Aveni-Miller.
Groundbreaking for this beautifully designed center took place earlier this summer. Store openings are planned for the fall of 2009. The development will share a major signalized access point at Howe Road, across from Westfield SouthPark Mall. Plans include the 147,000 square foot Costco, 26,000 square foot Bed, Bath & Beyond and 45,000 square foot Best Buy. Other planned retailers will offer a diverse collection of highly desirable merchandise such as jewelry, cosmetics, and clothing. Several restaurants are also being planned.
The Visconsi Companies’ vision for this site goes back to 1995 when it purchased the majority of the property. After years of planning and engineering, including enhancing and protecting over two miles of stream bed within the Rocky River Watershed, the Company is excited to bring these shopping category leaders to Strongsville and its neighboring communities.
